These clues have now been linked to the Doughnut egg, but I thought I would keep this discussion to highlight all the wild ideas that these clues generated.  Below, I've listed lots of the theories that were suggested in the Rivenguild BB without attributing any of them to a particular person (sorry, but they're just too numerous).  I have taken this opportunity to occasionally throw in one of my own pet theories.

Patterns not in a book:  This phrase has generated some theories but there is not yet any proof to confirm one or the other.

Logo:  This would seem to be linked to the Cyan logo but could also refer to the color cyan (which is halfway, so to speak, between green and blue).  The Cyan logo is very similar to a shape in the new device that appears behind the image viewer control panel, which enables you to get to the new room under the walkway to the spaceship.  Thus, "logo" may refer to something in this chain of new devices.  There are also several other places in realMyst where you can find the Cyan logo.  I've collected a bunch of them here.

Oh:  "Oh" can stand for Ohio (OH), which has the color red strongly associated with it.  Or it could refer to Oh Sadaharu, who  is Japan's most famous baseball player. He has the "world" record for home runs at 868.  It might also have some chemical formula connections (O = oxygen, H = hydrogen).  OH can be related to rust and alcohol.  This led to a search for rusty bolts and wine bottles.
