If you are brave enough to fly into the Puzzle Age, set the first crystal color at magenta.  This produces a flyby that continues even after the crystal viewer turns itself off.  You can manipulate the other crystal colors to vary the height of the water, the color of the trees, and so forth, as I explain here.  The other flyby colors for the first crystal (cyan and red) are also good, but they don't last as long.
